How to Use the Google Tasks Chrome Extension
If you have a Google account, you may want to download the Google Tasks Chrome Extension to manage your tasks in the browser. This program allows you to add and edit tasks right in the browser. However, the main problem with Google Tasks is that you can only use it within the Google calendar, Gmail, and Drive platforms. This means that you will not be able to use it efficiently. By installing the Google Tasks Chrome Extension, you can easily use it as a standalone service.
Once installed, Google Tasks opens in a new tab with your tasks and lists listed on the left. As you complete tasks, check them off as they're completed. If you'd like to reorder your tasks, click on the "Settings" button at the top of the toolbar. You can select window or pinned modes. Advanced settings allow you to change the order of your lists, enable dark mode, and rename your lists.
The task manager's action popup has a badge and a tooltip indicating the number of tasks due in the next 2 days. It also lists your next due tasks. You can also click the check icon to open the popup. The default view is compact, but you can switch to full view by right-clicking on the check icon. The settings of Google Tasks are easy to navigate, so it's not a problem to use it without any help.
